Bio: J. Paul Johnson possesses more than 10 years of communications consulting experience working for Washington trade associations and the White House Writers Group.
From 2004 until late 2007, Paul served as a consultant/research investigator for the Fundacion Centro de Estudios Americanos, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. While working at the Fundacion, Paul also taught upper level university courses and provided consulting services on U.S.-Latin America relations. By organizing delegation visits to Washington, writing and coordinating book projects, lecturing on U.S. political systems, and through seminars and other activities, Paul provided reliable, up-to-date information to government and policy leaders in Buenos Aires where it had been largely absent in prior years.
Still very interested in education, Paul serves as the assistant director of the Washington College of Law’s Comparative Law Program in Europe (London, Brussels, Paris and Geneva) where he interacts with international institutions such as the OECD, UNESCO, WTO, and the European Commission and Council among others in addition to preparing the course work for the nearly 60 law students who attend each summer’s intensive sessions.
Paul is most proud of building lasting bridges of cooperation, communication, and understanding whether it is among Argentine civil society and various government officials concerning the United States or with the students and clients he serves.
Paul’s dedication to clients and their projects is marked by precision, thorough research, and utilizing his network of contacts to advance their goals and achieve success.
Paul is a graduate of Lehigh University where he completed a double major in Russian Studies and Economics cum laude. Subsequently, he earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law. Paul is a member of the New York State Bar.
